The Plights of Our Mothers I will always appreciate the existence of women and understand their plights. I have also promise never to add to their plights in any form, but to always help them in any way I can, giving them maximum relief and strength as much within my reach, so I will always make them happy in my capability. This book is then written towards achieving this goal.   I write in respect of African women who were being abused in virtually all areas of their lives. African women, unlike their counterparts in Europe and America are faced with series of humiliations, discrimination, harassment, assaults, underrating’s and their views are not considered when making important decisions on the basis of their sex. Even in governance, not until the beginning of the 20th century, women in most African countries were denied some of the legal and political rights accorded to men.
