The  problem  facing  a  female  child  starts  at  birth,  especially  in  this  part  of  the  world  where  female  children  are  not  seen  as  the  fathers choice,  sixty-five percent  of  female  discriminations  start  from  the  labour  ward. The countenances of most fathers do change at the cry of a female baby. May be because of the expenses of taking care of the girl child or the risk of upbringing, and maybe after spending so much on the girl child, she will end up in a man’s home. These and all other reasons are best known to men. Even in families blessed with both male and female children, the male are always seen as the head. In many cultures, families place more value on the education of boys than girls. If a family has to make a choice between sending a boy or girl to school, a boy is preferred. Girls are often the last to be enrolled in school and the first to be withdrawn from class. Girls are more likely to be withdrawn from school in order to take on domestic and child rearing duties. In other cultures, under aged girls are forced into early marriage and early pregnancies, a negative experience with devastating consequences for too many.

Suggested solution. In most cases, the so called masters mentioned above are women and mothers, I then wonder why “women suffer women” the reasons why these girls are been maltreated are mostly unjustifiable.  These and some other unfortunate conditions are what some of our mothers had gone through when growing up. This calls on all women to rise up to responsibility to put an end to all these predicaments been faced by our future mothers. Influential women in all walks of life must act quickly to adopt and implement the new international law to prevent abuses, protect victims, as well as punish those that force people to work in conditions of slavery. Our lawmakers should forward bills that will create national action plans to tackle forced labour. Better protection for victims.
